I was well within my range I think I ended the day having used 24 points. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now for today, today I have been BAD, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad. I'm still within my points range at this point but I've wasted so many of them. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It's not my fault, it's the peppermint patties - I think that they've hypnotized me somehow, lol.  So I've had my husband take them and hide them somewhere ( he's good at hiding things where I can't find them so I should be safe here)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Here's what my day has been like so far:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1/2 sandwich made with fat free deli meat and healthy bread: 2 points&lt;br /&gt;Dill pickle: 0 points&lt;br /&gt;Glass of orange juice: 3 points&lt;br /&gt;peppermint patties 10 points (uggh)&lt;br /&gt;Total: 15 points&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Supper will be:&lt;br /&gt;Oven baked salmon: 4 points&lt;br /&gt;oven baked fries : 5 points&lt;br /&gt;all veggie salad with no dressing: 0 points&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So that would bring me to 25 points.    I plan on having some air popped popcorn and a diet pop for a snack tonight if I get hungry  so I may have to use just a couple of flex points.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Thank goodness for flex points. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;USA, great news about the workout plans!! Today has already been a nightmare in terms of eating, but here goes nothing.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Breakfast: 1/2 bagel and PB: 4 points&lt;br /&gt;Bottle of water&lt;br /&gt;Total: 4 points&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Lunch:&lt;br /&gt;Chicken Cobb Salad: 15 points&lt;br /&gt;gin and tonic: 3 points&lt;br /&gt;Total: 22 points&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Snack:&lt;br /&gt;I have got to get rid of the chocolate in my house! I had two pieces of stout truffles: 2 points&lt;br /&gt;Total: 24 points.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I now have 4 points left for dinner. But I'm still kind of full from lunch, so I'll just have popcorn at the movies. And there are always those 29 flex points. I better have a glass of water.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;A friend of mine asked her to join an exercise class on Tuesday with her. So with that and my hockey on Mondays, there are two days of working out down! If I can get two more days in the gym, I'll be good to go!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Oh CANADA?? Sigh... anyway, here's today so far:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Breakfast:&lt;br /&gt;English muffin with jelly: 4 points&lt;br /&gt;coffee with skim: 1 point&lt;br /&gt;glass of water&lt;br /&gt;Total: 5 points&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Snack:&lt;br /&gt;100-calorie oreos: 2 points&lt;br /&gt;Total: 7 points&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Lunch:&lt;br /&gt;4 pieces of sushi: 2 points&lt;br /&gt;1/2 cup of white rice and veggies: 3 points&lt;br /&gt;3 small boiled dumplings: 2 points&lt;br /&gt;Mushroom soup: 1 point&lt;br /&gt;salad: zero points&lt;br /&gt;Total: 15 points&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Snack:&lt;br /&gt;I avoided the cinnamon dolche latter and got a berry blossom white tea, no milk, two splendas: zero points (and it's decaf so it's part of my water!)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I now have 13 points left.... not bad&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Dinner:&lt;br /&gt;Cup of chowder: 5 points&lt;br /&gt;Pulled Pork Sandwich and greenbeans: 8 points&lt;br /&gt;Total: 28 points&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I had all of my flex points so I had two gin and tonics for 3 points each. And two miles on the eliptical, wow am I impressed.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;USA, way to go with the water, you're making me look bad girl, lol.  I'm proud of you, I know water isn't your thing either.  Just wait till you get the tea you can use that towards your water intake too!  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I finished off  yesterday having used 4 of my flex points - york peppermint patties were my downfall, sigh.  I had six of them, why oh why could I have not stopped at one, lol?  But I did get in some exercise last night, my hubby and I walked to the grocery store, I needed to go anyway and it was a nice night so he and the dogs came along.  Poor Oscar was so upset when he realized he had to wait OUTSIDE with Daddy, he really thought he should be allowed in too. So I'm thinking I probably earned at least one activity point, but I didn't count it if I did, LOL.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So far today, I've only had a smoothie which is four points. So this is officially day two for me. Today wasn't too bad. I HATE water, I never drink it..ever. So today, I have not yet had a glass of it. I'm such a failure, LOL. I have had Diet Pepsi - see I'm making sacrifices lol it's not regular pepsi which I would much rather have. I know that people say add a lemon to it, add orange to it, drink it ice cold, drink it warm, it's still water to me. That being said, yesterday I had two bottles of water with Crystal Light packets in them. That's as close as I'm getting to water this week. Way to go with the water.....water BLECH!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Well my exercise last night consisted of computer surfing does that count? somehow I didn't think so. But I stayed within my points so no worries.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Today so far I've had:&lt;br /&gt;a fat free chocolate pudding cup - 2 points&lt;br /&gt;mandarin oranges -2 points&lt;br /&gt;Bottled water with a nestea single in it - 0 points&lt;br /&gt;Total: 4 points.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It's lunch out with Marsha day and I'm planning on having a salad of some sort and I'll likely have a sandwich made with fat free deli meat for dinner, will update with points for lunch and supper later.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;- Canada&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Okay, so lunch was a grilled chicken breast, salad, a couple of fried potato pieces - kinda like potato skins without all the "stuff'. I'm excited about this. Of course, this also means that I'll have my coworkers eyes on me, scrutinizing if I'm staying on program. But, maybe that will be good.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;As for my new year's resolution, an unexpected department lunch came up today. And I had something really bad, with fries. And then I had dessert. And now I feel really bad. So, tonight I'll be good at dinner and not beat myself up. And I'm going to make a valient effort to get my butt to the gym.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;After all, Canada and I have a hot shopping date in September! My biggest inspiration is that USA is planning to come visit in September  I am BEYOND excited about this, and when she gets here we are going shopping to buy ourselves some new clothes for the new bodies we will have. Today the coworkers did Chinese and I resisted. Excellent. It's hard and I feel left out, but I have to keep this wagon ride going steady.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Tomorrow night I'm going out for Octoberfest with some friends. But I'm going armed with 32 flex points. I can do this. I feel better already.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;A coworker and I have agreed to walk next week during lunch. My sneakers are ready. And I have my iPod if she bails. My excuses are...just that excuses.  I know I was sick, I know I was on holidays but I could have stayed on plan if I had so chosen....but I didn't.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;And this morning for breakfast - a brownie.  Sigh. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I'm so proud of USA for climing back on the wagon.  You can resist those chocolate bars girl, just think carrots good, chocolate bad.  Maybe after saying it a few thousand times it'll be true, lol &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I'm climbing back on the wagon too..  I can do this, I have to do this.  So no more excuses. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In that vein, here is a great soup recipe, very low in points and soo easy and quick.  It's from one of my favourite cookbooks the Company's Coming  Soup and Sandwich book by Jean Pare.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Tomato Pasta Soup&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2 cups chicken stock&lt;br /&gt;2 cups beef stock&lt;br /&gt;2 cups tomato juice&lt;br /&gt;1 cup water&lt;br /&gt;1 cup macaroni ( you can easily use less, DO NOT USE MORE, you'll have macaroni stew, lol)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;put all ingredients in pot and cook till macaroni is done.  It doesn't get any easier. I'm munching on carrots today. I used three flex points yesterday on a cookie splurge. Not bad. I also had a veggie sandwich at dinner. A good choice. I resisted all candy in the office - I didn't even slip one M&amp;M in my mouth.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I didn't get to the gym last night, but if I can get out of work on time tonight, I'll give it a try. I've jumped back on. It's only noon, but so far so good. For breakfast I had a light English muffin with 1 TBSP of peanut butter(3). For snack I had a 100-calorie Special K snack pack (2). For lunch I had tuna, on light bread with mayo (4). I just ate an apple (1). My next goal is to drink some water this afternoon. But not before I have myself a nonfat latte. It's worth the points.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Scratch that. No coffee is worth 4 points. I'm leaning towards some tea now.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I have to get my motiviation back.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The challenge will be Saturday night when some friends and I go out for German. That's ok, today is a new day. The day I get my new journal out. I got it for $1.99 at Borders. It's a perfect place to track my eating, my thoughts and jot down some recipes.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Today I had a cup of shredded wheat, a cup of milk and a small banana. But I slept in till 11 so that's really brunch. There's six quality points for you. They are going to go right in my journal. Tonight I'm having steak, salad and potato salad. That's 12 points right there. So that's 18, with 10 left for the cookies I'm making for dessert.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I'm going to bake up some chicken and veggies for lunches this week. I have a nice spaghetti squash in the fridge. And I also want to make that soup or stew recipe for lunch. I'll have to stock up at the grocery store later. I think I may have gotten some bad chicken at lunch.    There is a silver lining in that though as I ended the day with lots of points left. LOL.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;USA and I have both been following the plan this week, but neither of us has been tracking, so we've made a pact that we start tomorrow.  Tomorrow I'm going to a movie though and I'm having MOVIE popcorn, woohoo.  I figure with all the flex points I have left I should be ok. Coat a 12-inch nonstick skillet with cooking spray. Add onion, mushrooms and garlic. Sauté over medium-high heat 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add to slow cooker. Add carrots.&lt;br /&gt;Place half of beans in slow cooker. Place remaining beans in blender. Add 1/2 cup of broth to blender and puree. Add mixture to slow cooker. Add remaining broth, tomatoes, oregano, dried thyme, salt and pepper.&lt;br /&gt;Cover and cook on high setting of slow cooker for 6 to 7 hours. Garnish with fresh thyme. Whenever I get back on the wagon, I make a big batch of this soup. I use spinach instead of cabbage and omit or add the veggies I like. Play with it! This this is the general idea:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;No Point Veggie Soup&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;Cooking spray&lt;br /&gt;2 carrots, peeled and diced&lt;br /&gt;1 large onion, diced&lt;br /&gt;4 teaspoons garlic (from a jar or substitute four cloves minced garlic)&lt;br /&gt;1/2 cabbage, chopped (or use a bag of slaw, the biggest chunks you can find vs the fine)&lt;br /&gt;1/2 pound frozen green beans (I've used fresh - YUM!)&lt;br /&gt;2 tablespoons tomato paste&lt;br /&gt;1 teaspoon dried basil&lt;br /&gt;1 teaspoon dried oregano (in place of basil and oregano, you can use Italian seasoning mix)&lt;br /&gt;1 teaspoon kosher salt&lt;br /&gt;1 large zucchini, diced&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Spray a Dutch oven with cooking spray and heat on MEDIUM HIGH. Add the carrots, onion and garlic and cook for about 5 minutes. Add all the remaining ingredients EXCEPT the zucchini and bring to a boil. Cover, reduce the heat to MEDIUM and simmer for abot 15 minutes or until the beans are tender. Add the zucchini and cook until the zucchini are tender. Serve and enjoy!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;To add some points, you can eat this soup with egg noodles. Six points wasted on pure sugar. I also had a coffee with skim milk. So that's good, I needed the dairy.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;For lunch I'm having a half of a baked potato with light cheese and tomato sauce. This is another five points. So really that's 14 points for the day. I'll get a skim latte at lunch for another two - that's 16. That leaves me with 12 points for dinner. Not bad.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I stayed on track last night, but used my last nine points on beer. Sigh... but I stayed within my points. Ok, no beer tonight. Water. (Although my mom is coming to help me clean. I better save three points for ONE beer.)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I'll have to get some veggies in me for dinner. We talked about clothes and have decided that the GAP is a goal. We want to be able to shop freely in the GAP.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I think we can do it. Slow and steady wins the race.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;She's doing a recipe search so we can keep our meals interesting. I couldn't ask for a more wonderful friend or weight loss buddy.        &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I too have lost a lot of weight on WW before ( 50 pounds) and I've gained most of it back. It's not going to be easy, but think with teamwork we can do it.  Saskatchewan is a far cry from where I live on the east coast, but with the power of the Internet, it'll be like she's right here with me.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It seems like I've been on WW for years. I did lost 71 pounds at one point. But life gets in the way. But I'm refocused. I'm going by clothing size now. There is a nice pair of pants in the closet with the tags still on them.
